Playing for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Multan Sultans, and Pakistan national team, Mohammad Rizwan has scored 2036 runs in 48 matches and is the first player to score 2000 runs in a calendar year in T20 cricket.
Rizwan who is in form of his life slammed yet another fifty on Thursday and off 2000, he has scored 1200+ runs for Pakistan in 26 T20I innings.
His opening partner and Pakistan skipper is sitting at the second spot in the list with 1767* runs in 46 matches. Babar plays for Central Punjab, Karachi Kings, and Pakistan national side.

Earlier in October, Mohd Rizwan became the first batter to cross 1000 T20I runs in a calendar year during the T20 World Cup 2021 semi-final against Australia.
He also went past Chris Gayle’s tally of 1665 runs for most runs in a calendar year in T20 cricket during the tournament.

Chasing 208, Pakistan got off to a good start as openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan put on 158 runs for the opening wicket and this saw both batters going past their fifty-run mark. The duo also became the first pair to hit a 6th-century partnership in T20Is.

Babar departed after scoring 79 while Rizwan was sent back to the pavilion after scoring 86. At the halfway mark, Pakistan’s score read 98/0, with the hosts needing 110 runs to win from the final 10 overs. In the end, Pakistan registered a seven-wicket win with seven balls to spare.
