As per a report in TOI, MCA had requested New Zealand media manager Willy Nicholls to ask the Kiwi team if they can donate some memorabilia for the planned museum.

“After we requested the New Zealand media manager Willy Nicholls to ask his team if they can give us some memorabilia for our upcoming museum, Williamson was kind enough to provide us with his autographed Tshirt. It’s a lovely gesture from him,” a source in the MCA said.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson, unfortunately, got ruled out of the 2nd Test in Mumbai and donated his autographed T-shirt that he wore in the 2-match series.

Similarly, Ajaz Patel who created history in the Wankhede Test by picking up all 10-wickets in an innings donated the ball with which he created the history. Patel also donated his Tshirt to MCA for the museum.

“It’s a special bit of memorabilia for them to be able to keep here. It’s special for me as well to leave something behind in Mumbai with my name on it. Because anyone who sees it will know that I’ve been here and achieved something,” said the left-arm spinner.
