WWE News: Top 3 PPVs of 2021: WWE is known for hosting the best PPV events in the pro-wrestling industry. Every year they try their best to go one step ahead when it comes to hosting PPV events equipped with some of the most intimidating and captivating feuds.

Year 2021 was no different as we witnessed some of the best PPV events starting from Royal Rumble in January to the 35th Annual Survivor Series in November. But what were the top three PPV events of 2021? We have listed the three best pay-per-view events of 2021 in this post in no specific order. Let’s take a look.

WWE News: WWE Wrestlemania 37

The 37th annual Wrestlemania i.e., Wrestlemania 37, was a two-night grand affair that took place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on April 10-11. It was a historic PPV event as the company welcomed WWE Universe in attendance for the first time since 2020 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, and also it was the first PPV event to stream live on the Peacock Network in the United States.

Wrestlemania 37

Wrestlemania 37 match card comprised 14 bouts distributed evenly across two nights. The first night saw Sasha banks defending her Smackdown Women’s Title against Bianca Belair in the main event, meanwhile, the final night was headlined by the triple-threat Universal Championship match that saw Roman Reigns defending his title against Daniel Bryan & Edge.   • WWE Championship: Bobby Lashley (c) defeated Drew McIntyre
  • Women’s Tag-Team Turmoil: Natalya & Tamina won by last eliminating The Riott Squad (Liv Morgan & Ruby Riott)
  • Cesaro defeated Seth Rollins
  • Raw Tag-Team Championship: AJ Styles & Omos defeated Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods (c)
  • Braun Strowman defeated Shane McMahon
  • Bad Bunny & Damian Priest defeated The Miz & John Morrison.
  • Smackdown Women’s Championship: Bianca Belair defeated Sasha Banks (c)

Night 2:

  • Randy Orton defeated “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt (with Alexa Bliss)
  • Women’s Tag-Team Championship: Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax (c) defeated Tamina & Natalya
  • Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn (with Logan Paul)
  • United States Championship: Sheamus defeated Riddle
  • Intercontinental Championship: Apollo Crews defeated Big E (c)
  • Raw Women’s Championship: Rhea Ripley defeated Asuka (c)
  • Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) (with Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) defeated Daniel Bryan and Edge

WWE News: WWE Summerslam

The Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, hosted the 34th Annual Summerslam PPV event on August 21. Summerslam is considered among the four major PPV events of WWE, and the PPV lived to everyone’s expectations.

The PPV event was headlined by the Universal Championship bout that saw Roman Reigns successfully defending against the 16-time World Champion John Cena. Edge vs. Seth Rollins was perhaps the best match of the night, however, the talking points of the show were the return of Becky Lynch & Brock Lesnar.   • WWE Championship: Bobby Lashley (c) (with MVP) defeated Goldberg by referee stoppage
  • Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) (with Paul Heyman) defeated John Cena

WWE News: WWE Crown Jewel

After more than a year’s halt, WWE traveled to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to host yet another edition of WWE Crown Jewel. The PPV event took place at the Mohammed Abdu Arena on the Boulevard on October 21. It was the sixth WWE PPV event hosted in Saudi Arabia and the third Crown Jewel event. The night saw 10 matches, including one bout during the kickoff show. The Universal Championship bout between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar headlined the showpiece PPV event.

During the night, we saw two personal feuds finally reaching their exclamation point. The feud between Goldberg and Bobby Lashley started before Summerslam finally came to a brutal end, also the epic three-match series between Edge & Seth Rollins reached its pinnacle inside the demonic structure of Hell in a Cell in Saudi Arabia in what turned out to be perhaps the match of the year.
