WWE Smackdown Results: BEST & WORST of this week’s Smackdown- This week’s Friday Night Smackdown aired live from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. The show saw the returns of two former World Champions, Sir Kofi Kingston & Brock Lesnar.

Besides the returns and Sami Zayn’s segment, nothing much was on offer, and that is why we have come up with the Best & Worst of tonight’s show. So without any further ado, let us start with this post.

WWE Smackdown Results: Brock Lesnar’s return (BEST)

The highly anticipated return of the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar happened tonight. Lesnar kicked off the show and seemed very happy. He was happy to return after serving the indefinite suspension and made it clear that he was back only for one thing, i.e., Roman Reigns and his Universal Championship.

Lesnar held the show together, as he didn’t only commence it but also appeared in a backstage segment and in the closing moments of the night where he destroyed Sami Zayn before the latter’s match against Roman Reigns.

WWE Smackdown Results: Sami Zayn robbed off his big title opportunity (WORST)

What was the need of hosting a Black Friday Invitational Battle Royal if Brock Lesnar was supposed to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at WWE Day 1? Well, the theory behind this is tough to explain, but robbing Sami Zayn shouldn’t have happened.

Brock Lesnar destroyed Sami Zayn tonight right before his Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns. Sami was hapless and had no fight left in him to upset the Tribal Chief. Sami was robbed of his title opportunity after he was made a scapegoat on tonight’s show only to set up Brock vs. Roman at WWE Day 1 is an injustice to Sami Zayn’s talent.

WWE Smackdown Results: Sir Kofi Kingston’s return (BEST)

Besides Brock Lesnar, Sir Kofi Kingston also returned tonight on WWE TV almost a month after getting his knee injured by The Bloodline. Kofi’s return was around the corner, especially after last week’s Raw, where he competed in a dark match teaming up alongside King Woods & Drew McIntyre.

Kofi wasn’t booked for a match tonight, but his partner King Woods was in action against Jey Uso. Kofi did showcase his moves when Jimmy Usos intentionally disqualified the bout by snapping King Woods, and Kofi came to his partner’s rescue hitting Jimmy with a Trouble in Paradise.

WWE Smackdown Results: Roman Reigns defeating a hapless Sami Zayn (WORST)

Roman Reigns defended his Universal title against an already beaten-up Sami Zayn in the main event of tonight’s show. Zayn had already taken three German Suplex and three F5s from the Beast Incarnate, and he was lying on the mat when Roman Reigns made his way to the ring.

The match could last for more than 10 seconds, as all Roman had to do was hit a spear on Zayn and then hold him in a Gaiety lock. The outcome of the match was an expected one, but Sami Zayn getting snapped like this wasn’t something the doctor ordered.
