Battlefield 2042 players are quite not content with the ongoing technical issues with Battlefield 2042 and negative reviews are pouring in from all over the gaming community. A recent leak suggests that the new Santa Claus skin that DICE planned to bring in the game’s next update has been dismissed. The Santa Claus skin is no longer coming to Battlefield 2042 with EA claiming that they have no intention to utilize all the skins during this holiday season.

A recent leak in Twitter showcased a whole lot of holiday-themed content that was planned by DICE to release during the next updater. This included different kinds of cosmetic rewards including a “Little Blitzen” helicopter skin, a “Big Nick” tanks skin, a “Father Winter” skin and much more.

Seems like things didn’t go as planned for DICE as they faced huge backlash from fans for Battlefield 2042. Players claimed than developers should focus more on fixing the ongoing technical problems and launch issues rather than holiday skins. One reddit user wrote, “DICE expects me to be able to take the game seriously with literal Santa Claus running around shooting people in what’s supposed to be a world where billions are displaced, natural disasters are destroying the planet and there’s about to be a massive world proxy war.”

Another twitter user tweeted, “I love where they pur their priority, cosmetics and not the actual game. This game is bad and getting worse”. Thankfully, DICE have analysed the feedback from the players and responded back positively. DICE said, “Development for live Service requires us to work months in advance and enables us to have options when we reach key moments in our first year. Today, we have other priorities and so whilst we have the skins, we presently have no plans to utilize all of them this holiday.” It will interesting to see, how DICE manages to enhance the gameplay of Battlefield 2042.
