French top-tier football club AS Monaco have announced an esports-focussed partnership with Japanese gaming company Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. for the forthcoming Pro Evolution Soccer (PES 2019) game.
The deal with Konami will see the Ligue 1 Club AS Roma, its stars and Stadium Louis-II recreated within the publisher’s forthcoming PES 2019, which will be available for download shortly after its release on August 30.
PES 2019 will boast of recreations of the club’s stars and the Stadium Louis II, that will be made up for grabs as a digital download following the game’s launch in late August. Furthermore, each player will be meticulously represented in PES 2019, with playing styles and stats taken into account, while all kits will be ‘faithfully integrated into the game.’
PES 2019 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC STEAM.
Every member of the squad will have their playing style and stats matches, while all kits will be integrated into the game. PES 2019 will also have a specially-created cover featuring legendary AS Monaco Captain Radamel Falcao and global star Phillipe Coutinho.
Jonas Lygaard, Senior Director Brand & Business Development of Konami said, “This is a wide-ranging agreement with AS Monaco, which will see this illustrious club working closely with KONAMI across a number of avenues.
“In addition to working closely with the club to ensure they are perfectly recreated within the game, we are delighted that a player of Radamel Falcao’s calibre has agreed to become our local Ambassador. We look forward to a long and productive partnership that will show the scale and ambition KONAMI has for the PES series.”
Juli Ferre Nadal, AS Monaco Commercial and Marketing Director, said “The growth of eSports and the reputation of the PES series make this partnership with Konami very exciting. We look forward to seeing AS Monaco players recreated within the new game, and our Captain Radamel Falcao featured on PES 2019 cover.”
