  • The stylish opener has not featured in a Test since January 2021 which was played against Australia in Brisbane.
  • Mayank Agarwal has scored 1052 runs for India in just 14 Tests but has managed just 102 runs against Kiwis in 2 Tests at an average of 25.5

Shubman Gill

Wriddhiman Saha

  • At 37, Saha will not have many opportunities to play for India in Test cricket.
  • In absence of attacking Rishabh Pant, Saha will have to come up with runs under his belt if he wants to continue with Team India in the upcoming India tour of South Africa.

  • His IPL franchise coach Trevor Bayliss had called him a ‘fit player’ during the recent season. He has amassed 112 runs against the Kiwis in 3 games.
