IND vs NZ 3rd T20 – Ganguly warns of dew: After the Men in Blue registered a series victory against Blackcaps on Friday, the focus now shifts to Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Rohit Sharma & Co will aim for a whitewash against Tim Southee’s New Zealand. The Kiwi skipper will be hoping to get third time lucky at coin toss as the team chasing go on to win the match- a new norm in T20 cricket. IND vs NZ 3rd T20: India eyes clean sweep, Sourav Ganguly says ‘be careful of dew at Eden Gardens’

Ganguly warns of dew at Eden Garden: Ganguly took a close look at the pitch and had a word with curator Sujan Mukherjee and CAB President Avishek Dalmiya. The dew is expected to hit around 7.30 PM. And like the previous two matches, Anti-dew spray will again be used at Eden to counter the issue.

“Obviously, it’s a good wicket, like it always is at the Eden. As for the dew, it could be a factor. Now let’s see what happens,” Sourav Ganguly told reporters on Friday.

India pacers had earlier made some hard yards to stop the Blackcaps to an average total towards the back end of the innings in both Jaipur and Ranchi. New Zealand bowlers had struggled big time as heavy dew affect the line and length of bowlers, especially in second T20I. The team batting first will have to score 20-25 extra runs on the scorecard to keep themselves in the contest.

IND vs NZ 3rd T20: India are only chasing a rare whitewash against New Zealand at home. The rivalry will once again kick start at the toss owing to the dew factor at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Besides the dew factor, India will eye to resurrect its challenging record at the venue. Teams batting second have won 5 out of 7 matches. The Men in Blue has lost a T20Is and managed a couple of victories at Kolkata. They had last played against West Indies where India won by 5 wickets. In ODIs, India’s record is quite drastic as they have raked up only 12 wins in 22 matches.

With another record in the eye of Rohit Sharma, India are unlikely to make a host of changes in the final T20I. On the other hand, the Kiwis are expected to come out all guns blazing against India in the final T20I. The batting department would look to make amendments after a failed show in the first two matches, especially in the death overs.

Meanwhile, Kolkata will host 70 per cent crowd for Sunday’s match. “It’s a sell-out on almost every occasion here at the Eden. We expect the same to happen this time around as well,” Sourav concluded.
