Recently, the Chennai Super Kings captain was filmed enjoying a cup of tea which has ever since gone viral on social media. MS Dhoni’s love for animals is well documented and the former Indian captain was on a “chai date” with his pet macaw Honey perched on his shoulder. The 40-year-old’s wife Sakshi Dhoni shared the images on Instagram, simply writing ‘Mahi’ and his ‘Honey’,” while using the hashtag #ChaiDates. MS Dhoni fans have ever since poured in and commented on the pictures instantly making it go viral on social media.

Along with a pet macaw, Dhoni also has several dogs who make frequent appearances on his and his wife’s Instagram accounts. Their Ranchi farmhouse is also home to a horse and a pony. Earlier this year, Sakshi had shared a video of the Chennai Super Kings star playing with a Shetland pony.

Post-retirement, MS Dhoni has remained away from the public glare, but the former Indian captain could be in attendance during the IND vs NZ 2nd T20. Dhoni has already taken a few trips to the JSCA complex ahead of the game on Friday. He was seen using the spending time in the gym and sweated it out on the tennis court to stay fit. During his visit, Jharkhand’s U-19 team also had a rare chance to speak to the legend and get autographs.

For Team India, Ranchi T20I will be a chance to wrap up the T20 series against New Zealand after a five-wicket win in the first T20 in Jaipur.
