Pogba was already set to miss their next game after the international break – against Watford – due to his three-match ban after being sent off in the 5-0 defeat by Liverpool.

Pogba’s current contract runs out at the end of this season and the former Juventus midfielder will be able to talk with other clubs from the January transfer window. It will be interesting to see if United shows any interest in renewing his current deal.

For now, France is all set to play two matches in the current World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan at home followed by an away trip to Finland.
