Hyderabad managed to chase the target of 174 despite losing 8 wickets, thanks to batting of Sumnath Kolla and CV Milind, who scored 21 and 12 respectively, to help the team to chase the target with final 3 balls remaining. After having decided to bowl first, Hyderabad bowlers toppled batting line-up of Saurashtra. They took 5 wickets in just 67 runs, thanks to brilliant bowling by Mohammad Siraj, CV Milind and Hanuma Vihari. However, Saurashtra able to retrieve their batting with a partnership stand of 89 runs between Prerak Mankad and Jaydev Unadkat. Prerak scored 71, while Jaydev played a knock of 58. Their partnership helped Saurashtra to post a total of 173 after early batting collapse.
