Skipper Mahmudullah’s quickfire 28-ball-50 coupled with Shabik Al Hasan’s handy 46 off 37 balls along with Mohammed Saifuddin’s late hitting (19 not out off 6 balls) helped Bangladesh post a daunting total of 181/7 against minnows Papua New Guinea.

Fastest Fifties in T20 World Cup: The record for the fastest fifty in a T20 World Cup is still held by India’s Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj Singh slammed a 12-ball fifty against England in the inaugural season of the T20 World Cup in 2007.
Netherlands’ Stephen Myburg has hit the second-fastest fifty in a T20 World Cup taking 17 balls to achieve the feat against Ireland in 2014.
With 18-ball fifty against Pakistan, Australia’s Glenn Maxell is at number 03, followed by Bangladesh’s Mohammed Ashraful. Ashraful slammed a 20-ball fifty against India in the 2007 T20 World Cup. Yuvraj Singh is again at number 05 with his 20-ball fifty against Australia in the 2007 World Cup.
