T20 WORLD CUP – IND vs ENG Head-to-head: India and England will be facing each other again in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 warmup match in Dubai on October 18, Monday. Being in the top eight positions in ICC T20I ranking, both teams have already qualified for the Super 12 round and will be seen in action from October 23. England will be facing off reigning champions Windies in their opening clash while India will begin its WC campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 24 in Dubai. Placed in different groups, India and England will not face each other in the Super 12 round but might square off if manage to advance into the knockout matches. India is placed in Super 12 Group B alongside Pakistan, New Zealand, and Afghanistan while England is placed in Super 12 Group A with South Africa, Australia, and Windies. Two teams each from the preliminary round will join both the Super 12 groups later.

IND vs ENG Last Meeting: Both teams last met in T20Is when England toured India in Feb-March 2021 for 4 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 5 T20Is. Virat Kohli-led side clinched the Paytm T20 Series by 3-2. All the matches were played at a single venue – Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad owing to Covid-19 protocols.
IND vs ENG head-to-head in T20Is: In head-to-head meetings, the Men in Blue have an upper hand winning 10 out of 19 meetings. England has managed nine victories. Both teams first met for a T20I in the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup at Durban. India won the match by 18 runs. On the back of Yuvraj Singh’s exploit of six sixes in a single over off Stuart Broad.
