IPL 2021 Awards: Harshal Patel bags three individual awards: Royal Challengers Bangalore’s pacer Harshal Patel had a memorable outing in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. He took record 32 wickets and thus was awarded three individual honors. Apart from Purple Cap, Patel won the Most Valuable Player, and Gamechanger of the season award as well. Meanwhile, Ruturaj Gaikwad won the Orange Cap.

Following is a list of individual honors that were awarded at the end of the 14th Indian Premier League, in which Chennai Super Kings emerged as the champions after beating Kolkata Knight Riders in the final.

Gamechanger of the Season, Most Valuable Player of the Season and Purple Cap: Harshal Patel of the Royal Challengers Bangalore) for 32 wickets in 15 games, the most this season, including one five-wicket haul and one four-wicket haul.

Super Striker of the season: Shimron Hetmyer of Delhi Capitals for his strike rate of 168.

Most Sixes in the Season: KL Rahul of Punjab Kings with 30 sixes.

IPL 2021 Awards: Faf du Plessis wins Man of the Match for finals: Talking about the final game of the season, MS Dhoni-led Chennai were as clinical as themselves and bagged their fourth IPL title. Faf du Plessis was named ‘Man of the Match’ for his stupendous knock of 86 off 59 balls.

Chennai posted a mammoth 192/3 from their quota of 20 overs and restricted Kolkata to 165/9, winning the match by 27 runs. Meanwhile, Kolkata crumbled under pressure despite getting a good opening start. Rahul Tripathi’s injury made the case even worse for the Knights.
