KKR Playing XI vs DC: No Andre Russell for Eoin Morgan & Co, Shakib available for Qualifier 2
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have bounced back emphatically in IPL 2021 Phase 2 to make it to the playoffs. The two-time champions had struggled in Phase 1, but did well to beat the competition and make it to the top four, and will be hoping to end their trophy drought.
Earlier, the KKR skipper had said, “Andre is working really hard on his fitness along with our physio and medical team. He is having a grade 2 hamstring tear and it has only been a couple of weeks since then. We only have 48 runs before the next game. So we will have to take that decision based on how he will present himself tomorrow and next day.”
However, KKR have Shakib Al Hasan as a proper replacement, with the Bangladesh all-rounder proving to be a handy operator with both bat and ball. Shakib was due to join Bangladesh’s national team camp but was given extended permission to be available for Qualifier 2.
