Genshin Impact becomes the Highest Earning Game in September 2021, PUBG Mobile drops to 3rd: After Celebrating the first Anniversary, Genshin Impact achieved a huge milestone. Genshin Impact by miHoYo becomes the highest-earning game in September 2021. It has also become the third mobile game to cross the 2 billion dollar mark. Meanwhile, The other two games were Honor of Kings and PUBG Mobile.
Renowned Data Analyst site Sensor Tower has released a statement on the Huge achievement made by Genshin. According to them, Genshin Impact is the highest-earning mobile game of September with 341.7 million USD. Meanwhile, Genshin has also toppled Garena Free Fire to become the highest-earning mobile game from the Google Play store. Sensor Tower took to Twitter and posted ” miHoYo‘s Genshin Impact has had one of the most successful mobile game launches ever, taking less than 6 months to reach its first $1 billion!”

Genshin’s revenue came from the App Store in China accounts for a large portion of (31.6%), followed by the U.S.A and Japan at 21% and 21.7%, respectively. However, PUBG Mobile dropped to third place in case of overall revenue and app store revenue. Although, it rose one spot in Google Play Store to sixth place.

MOBA game Honor of Kings ranked second in gross revenue for the month with 209 million USD in gross revenue. However, this is a decrease of around ten percent from last month. Moreover, The Tencent title generated approximately 95 percent of its revenue from China, with 2 percent from Taiwan.
