Speaking to ESPNCricinfo, Gambhir said, “Uthappa. Although he hasn’t grabbed opportunities, I still believe you got to persist with Robin Uthappa and he will come good.”

- CSK’s middle-order remains a big concern ahead of Qualifier 1. They are coming on the back of straight losses in the last 3 matches.
- The yellow army has failed to win the last four matches against Delhi Capitals. They will look to end their jinx on Sunday by marching into the playoffs in their bid for the 4th IPL trophy.

Gambhir also felt that CSK should keep an over of Josh Hazlewood spare for the death overs. The reaction comes after CSK lost the last three matches defending.
“They need someone in the death otherwise they become one-dimensional. They should keep one over of Josh Hazlewood against Delhi Capitals batting which has Axar Patel and R Ashwin batting at No.6 & 7,” he signed off.
