IND-W vs AUS-W, 2nd T20I: Ellyse Perry scripts new record- Ellyse Perry on Saturday eclipsed Alex Blackwell’s record of 251 appearances for the Australian national women’s team.
By playing against India in the second T20I of the three-match series at the Carrara Oval, Perry took part in the 252nd match for the Australian national women’s team. Alyssa Healy is currently on the third spot with 207 appearances and Meg Lanning on fourth with 205. On the field, Meg Lanning-led Australia won the toss and opted to bowl against India in the second T20I of the three-match series.

Put into bat, India Women had a disappointing start as the visitors were soon reduced to 24/3 inside the powerplay. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur played a handy knock of 28 off 20 deliveries to lift India innings to 50/4 in 8.5 overs before being stumped by Alysa Healy. Deepti Sharma (16) took over the charge but a mix up in the middle resulted Sharma being run out. Pooja Vatsrakar (37* off 26) then helped India put up 100 runs on the board with eventually finishing off at 118/9.
