In a video posted by RCB on their social media handles, KS Bharat and Virat Kohli were seen involved in discussion after the former walked into the dressing room following his last ball heroics. Kohli welcomed him and hailed his efforts as “unbelievable” before breaking down the match-winning shot to the barest of margins.

Kohli added that the ball slipped from Avesh Khan’s hands. He added, had he bowled at a normal pace, Bharat would have been able to hit it over the mid-off boundary. Bharat elatedly added that the final ball also went and he thought it would go the distance with the height he achieved on the shot. Kohli himself added that the way Bharat hit it, it felt like a six from the offing.

The Karnataka star has previously spoken highly of captain Virat Kohli and repaid his trust with a scintillating innings against Delhi Capitals on Friday. The wicketkeeper remained unbeaten on 78off just 52 deliveries, forging partnerships with AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell after the openers had departed early. Despite the win, RCB finished third behind DC and CSK on net run-rate, and will face off against the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Eliminator.
