RR beat PBKS Highlights – IPL 2021: Chasing a challenging but getable total of 186 runs, Punjab Kings openers gave a solid start to their team with 120 runs opening stand. Punjab’s Mayank Agarwal went on to score 67 runs while captain KL Rahul scored 49 runs. Both the openers were sent back after the century partnership.
Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran then built another 50 runs partnership to help their side get closer to the target.
PBKS needed 10 off 15, 8 off 12 and finally, just 4 off the final over. And yet, they ended up losing by a couple of runs.
In the end, 4 runs were required off 6 balls but Kartik Tyagi bowled beautiful over to seal the game for Rajasthan Royals. Earlier Mustafizur Rahman bowled beautiful penultimate over and gave just 4 runs.
Karthik picked 2 wickets in the last over while Chetan Sakariya and Rahul Tewatia chipped in with one wicket each.

Earlier, Riding on superb bowling performances of Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Shami Punjab Kings bowled out Rajasthan Royals on 185 in the first innings.
Punjab won the toss and opted to field first. But the decision seemed to have backfired as RR openers Evin Lewis and Yashsvi Jaiswal gave an explosive start to their team’s innings. Jaiswal went on to score 49 runs in 36 balls with the help of 6 boundaries and two sixes. Evin Lewis also played aggressively for his 36. English batsman Liam Livingstone was also looking impressive but could not get a big score after getting a start. Mahipal Lomror played a match-changing knock as he scored 43 runs in 17 balls with the help of four sixes and two fours. However, no other batsman could manage to give RR an explosive finish which left them reeling for 200.
RR beat PBKS Highlights – IPL 2021: For Punjab, Arshdeep Singh picked his maiden five-wicket haul. Every time when RR were on top, he was brought back into the attack and he delivered with the wickets of Evin Lewis, Liam Livingstone, Mahipal Lomror, Chetan Sakariya and Kartik Tyagi. Shami also showed a glimpse of form by taking three wickets while Ishan Porel and Harpreet Brar chipped in with one wicket each. Adil Rashid who was playing his first IPL match was hammered for 35 runs in three overs.
