CSK VS MI IPL 2021: Aakash Chopra’s BIG Prediction: When it comes to picking a side in a blockbuster clash between Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians and MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings, the neutral fans find it difficult. Both teams have shared eight IPL trophies since inception and the rivalry isn’t going away anytime soon. Former India and KKR opener Aakash Chopra, who is celebrating his birthday, however feels that Mumbai Indians will have the upper hand.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said Mumbai Indians will complete a hat-trick having won the last two ties. “I am putting my neck on the block, you can make the memes. I am going with Mumbai Indians to win,” Aakash Chopra said on his Youtube channel.

CSK VS MI IPL 2021: His prediction isn’t over the top considering Chennai Super Kings had a terrible run in 2020 in UAE. MS Dhoni & Co won just six matches out of 14 and finished 7th on the points table for the first time. Their batters who dominated on fast-paced pitches struggled to bat on slow UAE wickets.

While MS Dhoni & Co have reinforced with Moeen Ali, it may not be enough if the skipper himself doesn’t manage to get runs. In the bowling department, missing all-rounder Sam Curran against MI will also be a blow. The England bowling-all-rounder is currently in quarantine and will miss the match.
CSK VS MI IPL 2021: However, Aakash Chopra predicted that Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali will be key to CSK’s success. The England spinner has added new flair to CSK’s batting at No 3 while his finger spin could taste success in Dubai. Another finger spinner in the squad is Krishnappa Gowtham.
As for Mumbai Indians, Rahul Chahar will be crucial. The youngster has already made heads turn with his performances. Piyush Chawla and Jayant Yadav are the two other spinners in the squad.
“Finger fingers to pick more wickets than wrist spinners. You might see Tahir and Chawla play, Rahul Chahar will surely play. But Moeen Ali and Jaddu will do a fairly good job on this big ground. They will be taking more wickets,” Aakash Chopra added.
CSK VS MI IPL 2021: His further predictions include some obvious ones like a boundary within first 10 balls and a wicket inside the powerplay considering the ball will move a bit.
“The first boundary to be scored within the first ten balls. I am expecting a bit of caution – an inside edge or outside edge or a boundary on the legs. I don’t think you will see free-flowing cricket right at the outset. Everybody might just start with a bit of caution,” Aakash Chopra said.

“The first wicket will surely fall in the first four overs, it is possible two might also fall. The last time when the first match was played in Dubai, the pitch was hard and had grass, there was a lot of sideways movement available. Even though you might play cautiously, despite that Deepak Chahar, Bumrah or Boult – whoever bowls, they will still get you out,” he added.
CSK VS MI IPL 2021: Another former great Virender Sehwag too has a favourable prediction for Mumbai Indians. The explosive opener has said that Mumbai Indians will go on to win the IPL trophy and complete a hat-trick of titles.
Respect. Rivalry.

“Chennai’s average score in India was 201 during the first phase but I think when it comes to UAE tracks, they would be lacking a bit in batting firepower. If I have to pick one team, that will be Mumbai,” Virender Sehwag said.
“Since the second half has been shifted to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, I think Delhi and Mumbai will again be favourites and the five-time champions are slightly ahead,” Virender Sehwag told PTI.
