Jasprit Bumrah suffered a series of injuries last year and was utilised to his fullest during England’s Test series in India. But Bumrah said that he is working on his fitness and is ready to play five Tests.

After the 4th Test of the England Test series, Bumrah talked about workload management. “When you’re playing a Test match, you don’t realize what is done before, how many overs you bowled, because right now the important thing was doing a job for the team. I’ve worked really hard on my fitness because I want to play cricket for the longest period of time. I work hard in the gym, work hard with my diet and everything I try to control. So, all of these things give me confidence. I’ve got the ammunition inside me that whenever I have to push, I can push for the team. And that was the thing that I was focusing on. If you go too far ahead, think about the World Cup, you could be mentally tired. So, I was focusing on the present right now,” Jasprit Bumrah said at the post-match press conference after the 4th Test.
