IPL 2021- SRH vs DC: T Natarajan is all set to change the fortunes of SRH as he returns to cricket after a long gap of 5 months. The pacer then underwent knee surgery in April. In a video message, he said that he is working on fitness and yorkers as SRH eyes a turnaround in UAE. “It has taken five months to come back after surgery, but @Natarajan_91 is now looking forward to giving it his best for the #Risers,” SRH wrote in a tweet post.
“Coming back on to the field after five months and after surgery, so I’m very happy. I’m confident too because I’m playing after a long gap. I was a bit desperate. But I’m very happy now. NCA was everything for me. Recovery.. Step-by-step at NCA. They were very patient with my recovery. They did a lot of good things. They slowly eased me, which is a very good sign. I was really happy. Its very exciting,” Natarajan said.

“I’m happy to be back to SRH after 5 months back from surgery. It’s a big thing that I will again play next week. I’m excited and looking forward to it in this one week. I will have to practice, build strength. And I’ve prepared well mentally. I’m confident that I’ll do well in the first game (in the UAE). I must stay fit. I must contribute my most to the team. My next goal is to win games for my team. I mostly try to bowl yorkers. But it’s all God’s will!” he added.
Why Natarajan is crucial for SRH?
- Natarajan is a vital cog of SRH. His absence had hurt the franchise in the first phase of IPL 2021.
- He had managed to play just a couple of matches after being ruled out due to a knee injury.
- He was one of the highest wicket-takers for SRH in the last edition of IPL in UAE as SRH had entered the playoff.
- Natarajan would look to repeat his heroics in the UAE as SRH eyes turnaround.
