The CPL 2021 has provided some breathtaking action over the past few weeks, giving players much-needed practice and base for the upcoming IPL 2021 and T20 World Cup in the UAE. Having done most things right in the league stage, the onus will be on the franchises to ensure that they make their best push for the title.

CPL 2021 semi-final 1: TKR vs SLK – Knight Riders two wins away from title defence, Kings aim maiden title
In a repeat of last season’s final, defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders will take on the beaten finalists St Lucia Kings in semi-final 1 of the CPL 2021. The Knight Riders showed their class and stamped their authority with a win over St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in their final game, to clinch the top spot in the standings, despite a slow start to the season.

The Kings meanwhile have been patchy and a lot will depend on the availability of Faf du Plessis as they prepare for the semi-final. The fourth-placed side come into the clash on the back of a defeat against bottom-placed Barbados Royals, but will nonetheless will be a force to reckon with, especially considering the form of Roston Chase, and if featuring Faf du Plessis.

CPL 2021 semi-final 1: GAW vs SNP- Warriors look to end finals agony, both teams aim first championship
The Guyana Amazon Warriors have made it five finals in CPL, and have lost all five as they make a sixth attempt at the title. The Warriors sealed their place in the semi-final with a thumping win over the Jamaica Tallawahs, to finish third, setting up a clash against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. The Dwayne Bravo led outfit were amongst the contenders for the title and have lived up their tag so far as they head into the knockouts.
