On August 20, the pro-wrestling fans went bonkers when CM Punk debuted for All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The Best in the World & perhaps the most popular figure in pro-wrestling marked his return to the squared circle after seven long years. A day after at WWE Summerslam PPV, Becky Lynch and Brock Lesnar returned to the company after a long hiatus on the same night.

Just when it seemed like that was all with the major returns, AEW dropped another massive surprise with the addition of not one, not two, but three ex-WWE stars last Sunday at the AEW All Out PPV. Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan), former WWE women’s superstar Ruby Soho (Ruby Riott) & former WWE NXT Champion Adam Cole made their surprising AEW debut on the same night at the PPV event.

With people expecting a lot more surprises from AEW, here we have listed three current WWE Superstars who might take the long road to Tony Khan’s promotion and elevate themselves further as in-ring performers.

WWE News: Kevin Owens

Insidesport

WWE Smackdown superstar and the former Universal Champion Kevin Owens is most likely to make his way to All Elite Wrestling. The Prize Fighter’s WWE contract is expiring in January 2022, and he is indicated in several interviews that he might end up joining Tony Khan’s promotion.

Kevin is one of the most underutilized top stars on the Blue brand as Vince McMahon is busy giving all the limelight, screen time, and relevance to his favorite superstar Roman Reigns. There seems to be no storyline for Owens on Smackdown currently, and last week he had to commentate with Michael Cole in the absence of Pat McAfee. Owens heading to AEW once his contract with WWE is over could be a blessing in disguise for him.

WWE News: Jeff Hardy

Insidesport

The way Jeff Hardy has been treated in WWE nowadays is completely unacceptable. He is one of the legends of the business and one of the stalwarts of WWE. Despite being a former World Champion and a Grand Slam Champion, Hardy was seen chasing the 24/7 Championship last week on WWE Raw, and this isn’t how a former World Champion should get treated.

Twitterati’s lashed out at Vince McMahon after seeing Jeff Hardy chasing the 24/7 Championship, and they raised their voice to treat him well. Jeff Hardy deserves better, and he could get something better if he moves to AEW, where his brother Matt Hardy is already present.

WWE News: Cesaro

Insidesport

The Swiss Superman got a brief push when he challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania Backlash earlier this year. He also feuded with Seth Rollins earlier this year and got a monumental victory over the former World Champion at the grandest stage of them all i.e. Wrestlemania 37.

Despite feuding and beating someone like Seth Rollins, Cesaro got treated like a hit & miss shot on the Blue brand and never got the limelight he deserved, neither in the mid-card or the top-card segment. However, he can change his fortunes if he decides to take the route to AEW. Will he consider this as an option?
