T20 World Cup: India, England announce squads for ICC T20 World Cup 2021; No Ben Stokes for England, Shikhar Dhawan left out by Team India – The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have announced their squads for ICC T20 World Cup 2021 scheduled to take place in UAE starting from October 23. R Ashwin made a shocking return to the T20I side after four years of the game while Shikhar Dhawan missed the bus to UAE. On the other hand, England will be playing without the services of Ben Stokes.

Chris Silverwood, the England men’s head coach said, “Tymal Mills deserves his inclusion and has demonstrated over the past couple of years, but particularly this summer that he has all skills to succeed at this level,” said Silverwood.
“His exceptional pace is a standout, and the way he has spearheaded Sussex and Southern Brave’s respective attacks in the short-form game has shown that he relishes the pressures of the big stage. He will add variety to our bowling unit, and we can’t wait to see him play in a major international tournament,”he added.
Jay Shah, the BCCI Honorary Secretary said, “As far as Dhoni is concerned, I spoke to him when I was in Dubai,” said Shah. “He was okay with the decision, and he agreed to be a mentor for team India, for the T20 World Cup only. I spoke to the captain (Virat Kohli) and vice-captain (Rohit Sharma) as well as Ravi Shastri (the head coach), and that’s why we reached the conclusion.”
