IPL 2021: RCB signs England’s George Garton for IPL 2021 Phase 2 in UAE: Royal Challengers Bangalore have announced a new contract for the second leg of the tournament in UAE. Virat Kohli led side has signed with England’s all-rounder George Garton who will join the RCB family for the rest of the IPL season. The English player has come as a replacement for Australian bowler Kane Richardson. With his incoming in the squad, RCB have completed their quota of overseas players for the season. The franchisee had earlier signed- Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga, fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera and Singapore’s Tim David as well.

The left-handed England pacer has player 38 T20s, scalped 44 wickets and returned with an economy of 8.26. It will be his first season in the cash-rich league if he gets a chance to play in the IPL.

This season, Virat Kohli’s side are third in the standings, having won five of their seven games so far. The Bangalore based franchise have done the hard bit and will hope for a smooth passage into the playoffs and potentially end their title drought when the IPL resumes in UAE.
