Recently, the red brigade posted a small video featuring the two Sri Lankan players who vented out their excitement on being a part of the IPL.
“Hello guys, this is Wanindu Hasaranga. I am excited to join RCB this year. This is going to be a fun ride. Join us and cheer for us. Stay safe,” said the Sri Lankan leg spinner.
Greeting the fans with hello and namaste, the Sri Lankan pacer Dushmantha Chameera said “I am so so excited to join Royal Challengers family for the upcoming IPL. Looking forward to playing alongside Virat, AB de, Maxwell, Chahal and other talented players Will give 100% to my team RCB at all times. Watch out for some fireworks. Sri Lankan leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga replaced Australia’s Adam Zampa, while Sri Lanka’s pacer Dushmantha Chameera replaced Daniel Sams of Australia.
Hasaranga was the Player of the Series in the recently concluded Sri Lanka vs India T20I series where he claimed seven wickets in three matches at an economy rate of 5.58.
His teammate- Dushmantha Chameera also earned immense praises for his disciplined bowling. With the inclusion of these two players, the red brigade have solidified their bowling unit even more.
IPL 2021: RCB’s schdule for Phase 2 in UAE
This season, Virat Kohli’s side are third in the standings, having won five of their seven games so far. The Bangalore based franchise have done the hard bit and will hope for a smooth passage into the playoffs and potentially end their title drought when the IPL resumes in UAE.
