1. Ishan Kishan

The Mumbai Indians star had a forgetful IPL 2021 Phase 1 but will have fond memories from UAE. Kishan was one of the protagonists from Mumbai Indians’ title defence scoring over 500 runs at a strike rate of 145.76. Ishan Kishan hit 30 sixes during the tournament, the most by a player in the UAE.

2. Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan will be entering the IPL 2021 as the most economical bowler in the league when the tournament has been played in the UAE. The Sunrisers Hyderabad star finished last season with an economy of 5.37 from 16 games, picking up 20 wickets along the way. Rashid Khan will be relishing the opportunity to play in the UAE especially with a T20 World Cup campaign with Afghanistan set to follow.

3. Ben Stokes

Ben Stokes might not be playing in the IPL 2021 Phase 2, but the English all-rounder is the only overseas player to score a century in the UAE. Stokes’ 107 is the only overseas century among the five scored in the UAE, with Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal being the other centurions. Four times have overseas batsmen got out in the 90s in UAE, with Chris Gayle (99), Jonny Bairstow and Glenn Maxwell (95 twice).

4. Varun Chakravarthy

Varun Chakravarthy is the only player to have picked up a five-wicket haul in the UAE. The Kolkata Knight Riders spinner registered figures of 5/20 against the Delhi Capitals last year, overtaking Lakshmipathi Balaji’s figures of 4/13. All in all, there have been 13 four-wicket hauls in the UAE, but Chakravarthy is the only one to have clinched five.

5. Nicholas Pooran

While the West Indian vice-captain had four ducks in IPL 2021 Phase 1, Nicholas Pooran was one of the few bright spots for Punjab Kings last season. Pooran hit the fastest 50 in an IPL game in UAE, reaching the milestone in just 17 deliveries against Sunrisers Hyderabad. His next best Sanju Samson achieved the mark in 19 deliveries, followed by the trio of Kieron Pollard, Marcus Stoinis and Hardik Pandya who did so in 20 balls
