IND vs ENG 3rd Test: After winning the Lord’s Test, Kohli became the fourth most successful captain in Test history. He had left behind West Indies legend Clive Lloyd. Windies won 36 Test matches under Lloyd’s captaincy. This was India’s 37th Test win under Kohli’s leadership. Virat is now behind former South African captain Graeme Smith (53 wins), Australian legend Ricky Ponting (48 wins) and former Kangaroo captain Steve Waugh (41 wins).
IND vs ENG 3rd Test: Other than the captaincy record, Virat will also want to improve his batting in Test cricket as he has not scored a century in the last two years. His century drought has extended a bit too long. Now it will be interesting to see how he performs as a captain and as a batsman in the Leeds Test.
