IPL 2021: MS Dhoni’s big fan walks for 14,00  to meet his hero – Former India captain MS Dhoni and skipper of Chennai Super Kings in IPL, who retired from international cricket exactly one year ago on August 15, 2020, has a big fan following in India and across the world. One of his biggest fans named Ajay Gill walked over 14,00 to meet his hero on Independence Day.

Ajay travelled from Haryana to Ranchi in Jharkhand. Ajay had to walk for 16 days to reach his destination. He started his journey on July 29 and reached Dhoni’s residency in Ranchi on August 15.

“Dhoniji se mil ke hi ghar lautunga (I will return home only after I meet Dhoni),” Ajay Gill told Telegraph India. The 18-year-old said Dhoni would certainly spare 10 minutes for him as he came from such a far-off place on foot. Unfortunately for him, Dhoni is in UAE for IPL 2021 phase 2. However, Ajay was not convinced to leave even when he was told that Dhoni will return from UAE after 3 months.

Ajay had a special haircut with Dhoni’s name carved on his head. And tri-colour on the head. “A fellow barber from Sonepat did it for free when he found me walking towards Ranchi and learnt about my purpose. I’ll also get it signed by Dhoniji,” Ajay said.
