TNPL 2021 Final- RTW vs CSG: From CSK’s N Jagadeesan to Sai Kishore, 5 players to watch out for in Tamil Nadu Premier League finale – Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) has managed to conduct the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL 2021) despite the COVID-19 pandemic. With Ruby Trichy Warriors and Chepauk Super Gillies facing off in the final, it is expected to be an exciting final and the former will aim to deny Cheapauk their 3rd title and 2nd on the trot.

The final on Sunday will have some of the domestic stars who have grabbed While Chennai Super Kings’ N Jagadeesan and Sai Kishore will be the ones to watch out for, there are others who could spring a surprise as well. At InsideSport, we take a look at the 5 players, who can change the game for their side.

N Jagadeesan (CSG): The young Chepauk Super Gillies wicketkeeper-batsman has become a big name in white-ball cricket. The Tamil Nadu youngster has already impressed the IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and has bagged an IPL contract. He is renowned for his power hitting at the top. More importantly, he has the ability to bat the full quota of 20 overs. Not for nothing is this 26-year-old opener the highest run-getter in the tournament (1,598 runs). In this season, N Jagadeesan has scored 246 runs from nine matches at an average of 30.75 with the highest score of 95.

Sai Kishore (CSG): He is fresh from India’s Tour of Sri Lanka where he gained valuable experience on his maiden India call-up. He might not have played but rubbing shoulders with the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav under Rahul Dravid’s mentorship has been valuable. In TNPL 2021, Chepauk Super Gillies’ Sai Kishore has stood tall among the spinners. The lanky left-arm spinner is the highest wicket-taker in the tournament (54 wickets) and has bagged 11 wickets from 6 matches.

R Sathish (CSG): R Satish might be 40 years old but he still has the edge to dominate the youngsters. The go-to man during a crisis, this veteran all-rounder is equally effective with bat and ball. In TNPL 2021, R Sathish has scored 130 runs in 7 innings and scalped 7 wickets in six innings.

Nidhish Rajagopal (RTW): This 21-year-old has shown remarkable composure in leading Trichy’s run charge. It reflects in the tournament’s batting charts as well, where the left-hander is placed third having tallied 280 runs. He will be instrumental in the final against Chepauk Super Gillies.
