The Brazilian shot-stopper has been one of the best signing Liverpool have made in recent times. A commanding presence between the sticks, he is often amongst the first names on the team sheet. Having a great goalkeeper is crucial to every teams’ title chances and the 28-year-old will once again play a crucial part in determining how the Reds perform in the league.

Virgil Van Dijk

The 30-year-old center-back will head into the new season after missing out the majority of the previous campaign following a massive stint on the sidelines. Van Dijk suffered from an anterior cruciate ligament injury last October and has since been away from the action.

He was seen training pitch towards the fag end of the previous season and also decided against participating in Euro 2020 and continue his rehabilitation. Without Van Dijk, Liverpool’s had a horrific defensive record in the Premier League. The Holland star has a huge impact on the teams’ backline and will be expected to lead the back four once again to Klopp get back to their best next season.

Ibrahima Konate

Joining Liverpool from RB Leipzig in the summer, Ibrahima Konate is set to partner with Virgil van Dijk in defense. The 22-year-old is expected to get the nod ahead of Joe Gomez and shoulder up some responsibility for the Merseyside outfit.

The Frenchman has been with the Reds during the whole course of the pre-season getting adequate time to understand Liverpools’ style of play. Konate has done very well in Germany and could take his game to another level under Jurgen Klopp.

Fans should not be surprised if he starts for Liverpool on the first matchday of the Premier League season. Reds’ supports will be hoping of seeing the defender form a solid partnership with Van Dijk for years to come.

Sadio Mane

The 29-year-old attacker did not have the best of the campaign during the previous season, Despite playing in his ‘worst season’ the Liverpool star managed to score 11 goals while providing eight assists in 35 PL games. Most importantly, he helped Klopp’s men finish in the top four by scoring a brace against Crystal Palace on the final day.

Back with the Liverpool squad after some time off and much-needed rest, the Senegalese forward will be eager to get back on the pitch. Mane will be raring to go and shrug off his poor 2020-21 campaign form. He is expected to come to all guns blazing for Liverpool in the Premier League next season and is definitely a player to watch out for.

Liverpool will be hoping that the 29-year-old is all set and prepared to help them kick off their Premier League campaign against Norwich with a blast. The Egyptian icon will once again occupy the right-hand side of the Liverpools attack and combine with Mane and Firmino this season.
