Kohli’s Century Draught
Virat and his love affair with the international century is well known to everyone. The Indian talisman has scored 70 centuries in international cricket—27 in Test cricket and 43 in One Day Internationals (ODIs). At the age of 32, he is one of the greatest batsmen in the entire world. However, he has failed to score a ton in international cricket since November 2019. Yes, that’s right. Virat Kohli has not scored a century in the last two years.
Virat in Test cricket since the last century
Even though a century has not stopped Virat Kohli to make runs in international cricket, his form in Test has definitely dipped in the last two years. He is averaging just 24 in Test which is way less than his career average of 52.38. Against New Zealand, his average in the last two years is 19.81 which includes a whitewash in Kiwi land.
Kohli enjoys batting against England, at home, he has played nine Tests against Three Lions in which he has scored 625 runs at an average of 62.50 since 2018. On the other hand, Kohli has scored 332 runs in seven matches at an average of 25.53 and has failed to score a single Test century away from home. (ENG vs IND)
