FIFA 22 on Steam? On July 11, 2021, EA Sports released the reveal trailer of FIFA 22 and it has created a buzz all over the FIFA community. The football world is very closely related to the FIFA gaming community and this time FIFA 22 has featured many star footballers like David Alaba, Cristian Pulisic, Marcelo, Trent Alexander Arnold, Mason Mount, Thiago Silva, Eden Hazard, and many more. Like the previous year, Kylian Mbappe has again been chosen as the cover star for FIFA 22. FIFA has a huge fan base all over the world playing on PCs, PlayStation, and Xbox. But this time, it seems like EA Sports doesn’t really want players to play FIFA 22 on their PC.
EA Sports introduced their next-gen technology known as the HyperMotion Technology. For the first time, they recorded a 11v11 high-intensity football match with professional footballers wearing Xsens suits. This allowed EA to process almost 8.7 million frames in machine learning algorithms to create the most realistic football experience till date. But PC gamers shouldn’t be much excited about this, as EA announced that the HyperMotion Technology will only be available in next-gen consoles like PS5 and Xbox series X. It is a bit uncanny from EA because high-end PC rigs are more than capable enough to handle the game with this new tech.

EA also wants players to buy their game from EA’s own Origin platform as the FIFA 22 Steam listing revealed that the game can only be activated on one PC. The description of the FIFA 22 PC DRM on Steam states that “Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: EA on-line activation and Origin client software installation and background use required. 1. Machine activation limit”. This news has raised some eyebrows in the Steam community. PS4 and Xbox One users are also disappointed as they miss on the latest cutting-edge technology offered by EA on next-gen consoles.
