The Hundred: Southern Brave replace Warner, Stoinis with Quinton de Kock, Devon Conway- New Zealand’s new batting sensation Devon Conway, South Africa batsman Quinton de Kock have been named as the replacements for Aussies David Warner and Marcus Stoinis.
Conway, who made his debut in November, has taken international cricket like duck to water. He has already slammed a double-century on Test debut at Lord’s earlier this month. He has a batting average of 75 in the ODIs and 59 in the T20Is.
De Kock will also join the squad among world’s most exciting players in the Hundred. He will rejoin coach Mahela Jayawardena again after working with him at Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
“I can’t wait to get going with Southern Brave,” de Kock said as quoted by ESPNCricinfo.
“I’m also really excited to be working with Mahela again. Hopefully we can have plenty of fans in to support us and we can give them something to cheer about,” he added.

Australia’s David Warner, Marcus Stoinis and Shaheen Afridi had pulled out of the inaugural edition of The Hundred due to as they will be busy owing to their national commitment. The two players are part of Australia’s preliminary squad against the West Indies. They are likely to give preference to spending quality time with their families after reuniting with them a month after IPL 2021 suspension.
The inaugural edition of The Hundred will kick start on July 21. Devon Conway is likely to be available throughout the one-month-long tournament. De Kock, on the other hand, might miss the opening fixture for national duty against Ireland T20Is. Meanwhile, Andre Russell is also likely to miss few games as he will also be on international duty.
