India tour of England: Virat Kohli, Mithali Raj and Co leave for England; Check pics- The Indian team led by Virat Kohli and Mithali Raj took off for UK early on Thursday morning. Both the Men’s and Women’s team will be flying in the same chartered flight in a historic first. Upon reaching, they will head into a straight 10-day quarantine.
Regular tests will be conducted during the period of isolation. Players’ activity will be allowed in a gradually increasing manner after each round of negative testing, moving from exercise in isolation to small group and then larger squad activity, whilst always remaining within the bio-secure venue.

The Men in Blue will be in action against Kane Williamson’s New Zealand in the ICC WTC Final at Southampton starting June 18. It is notable that the India men and women’s team will be in action in the UK for the next couple of months. While India men will play 5-match Test series against Englishmen, India women will play one-off day which will be followed by 3-match ODI and T20I series.
India Tour of England – Families Given Clearance: The Indian squad have also been given clearance to be accompanied by their families. The Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) & England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) managed clearances for the families from the UK Government on Monday. The same set of quarantine norms will apply to them as well as it is for all the squad members.
