Sony Playstation Mobile Games: Gaming has seen amazing growth in past few years, if we talk about last year when people across the globe were sitting inside their houses, numbers of mobile gamers has seen an immense growth.
Despite its popularity, some big names of gaming industry are yet not stepped in the scene. Sony is one of the biggest franchise who is still absent from the mobile gaming scene. Sony’s PlayStation has holdout from direct involvement in mobile gaming industry but it might be changing soon.
According to few reports, Sony is looking to reach gamers beyond console, so it’s investing in mobile games.
Sony may soon introduce PlayStation Mobile Games
Sony Playstation Mobile Games: The PlayStation have hundreds of game titles under its roof where the PlayStation have decades long history. Some of those titles made it to the smartphones, PC. Most of them made to the smartphones through unofficial means. Some fans love to play their favourite titles in mobile but that is not the way it going to happen.
According to a report by GameSpot.com, Jim Ryan, PlayStation head, talked about the PlayStation joining the mobile gaming in a recent meeting of company.
“PlayStation has a huge catalog of diverse first-party IP that can transition to smartphone gaming and complement our AAA games or live service games.” Ryan was quoted by the platform.
Sony Playstation Mobile Games: Sony is working on same strategy as Nintendo Switch has done with its titles to join the Mobile gaming.
Ryan didn’t shared anything about the IP and legal term to refer the development. This stated that Sony might be working on creating new games around those popular titles.
It is technically possible though, we have seen playing game on PC by mobile emulation scene. If Sony works on same strategy then it fares better than Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo brought some well known franchises in mobile including inconic Mario character. There are a large number of games under PlayStation banner which can be bring to the mobile devices.
Sony had earlier also ventured into Mobile Gaming but closed its PlayStation Mobile Division in 2015.
A mobile game based on the Uncharted series called Uncharted: Fortune Hunter was released in 2016.
