Copa America 2021: It could be a football fest in the United States this summer, CONMEBOL is reportedly planning to shift the delayed Copa America competition out of Colombia and Argentina.
Previously known as the South America Football Championship, the tournament was scheduled to take place last year but postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Chile, Ecuador and Venezuela all have offered to play a role in hosting the event. But according to Blu Radio report, a move to the United States is gaining momentum.
Copa America 2021: First time in the US since 2016
The event has not been held on the US soil since 2016 and is the only non-member of the region to have held the event on its soil. Chile defeated Argentina in penalty kicks to win the 2016 edition at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
According to the report, if Copa America is held in the United States, it would not take place in any cities playing host to Gold Cup games.
The Gold Cup final is scheduled for August 1 at Las Vegas. Glendale, Arizona; Kansas City, Kansas; Houston, Orlando and Dallas will play host to games, as will Texas cities Frisco, Arlington and Austin.

Copa America 2021 is scheduled to take place from June 13-July 10 2021. It is the 47th edition of the tournament The competition was held in both 2019 and 2020, with the 2020 date meant to be the start of the quadrennial tournament moving from odd to even years in order to align with the Euros.
