Free Fire City Open: Cities, Prizepool, and how to register for the tournament? Garena is building a proper esports ecosystem of Free Fire in India. In the last few months, the Free Fire esports scene has witnessed a rapid growth of viewership, participants in India. Garena is hosting a Free Fire tournament back to back for the Indian players. At the start of the year, the company announced 2021 esports plans for Free Fire in India. They introduced four major events with an annual prize pool of ₹20,000,000.  A new name joined the list now, Free Fire City Open.

Free Fire City Open: Prize Pool and Cities

FFCO is an open-to-all tournament exclusive for Indian Players. In this tournament, players will get the opportunity to represent their city at the national level. This will be a four-month-long tournament with a massive prize pool of ₹6,000,000. Garena has revealed the eight cities which will be participating in the tournament. These are the cities-

  • DELHI (Delhi)
  • LUCKNOW (Uttar Pradesh)
  • MUMBAI (Maharashtra )
  • AHMEDABAD (Gujarat )
  • HYDERABAD (Telengana)
  • CHENNAI (Tamilnadu )
  • VIZAG (Andhra Pradesh)
  • KOLKATA (West Bengal)

These cities have chosen on the basis of a public poll where the city represents the whole state. Players from a particular state can register for their representative city. Garena also stated that the missing cities will also get a chance to compete in Wildcard Finals. The top twelve teams from each city will select for the city finals, the same process for the Wildcard finals. The top 2 teams from each City finals will be selected for the National finals.

How to Register for the Free Fire City Open?

Registration for the tournament will be starting from 26th April 2021. Registration will take place through in-game FFC mode.
