WWE: Renee Paquette has been one of the few names that has been involved with CM Punk since his departure from WWE in 2014. The commentator and interviewer has established a great friendship with the former world champion of the company, being one of the voices he achieved.  bringing Punk to the WWE Backstage show in November 2019 as a guest panelist.

In a recent interview for the British portal Metro, Renee Paquette spoke about her impressions regarding the always discussed possibility of CM Punk returning to the ring.  “I think it would be a real shame if he doesn’t come back,” she clarified Renee.

“The passion for wrestling is still present in him, and as much as he is pigeonholed in projects on television or movies, at the end of the day it is wrestling that causes him to move.”

“I think he could come back anyway, whether it’s behind the camera as a creative or inside the ropes, but he’ll only do it if he wants to. Lately I feel like the only thing that could motivate him would be a great story.”

“The checks are good, but I think Punk really wants to get in the ring to tell the story that he wants to build,” Paquette said.  “He has great ideas that could serve any promotion, be it WWE or AEW. People would lose their minds if they see a CM Punk comeback, so I just hope there isn’t too much dirt accumulated on his boots.”
