India A vs Australia A – Kartik Tyagi’s Pace injures Will Pucovski : Australia’s Test aspirant Will Pucovski was forced to retire hurt during Australia A’s tour match with the Indians, after he suffered from a concussion while batting.

Minutes from the expected end of the three-day match at Drummoyne Oval, Pucovski, who has a history of concussions, was hit on the front of the helmet trying to pull a ball from paceman Kartik Tyagi.

Pucovski attempted to half duck, half pull a bouncer by Tyagi, but the delivery didn’t quite get up, striking Pucovski on the top of the helmet.

Pucovski was 23 not out and stayed down for some time before walking off. The 22-year-old was then escorted off Drummoyne Oval by medical staff, leaving Australia A captain Travis Head to see out the close of play alongside Marcus Harris.

Notably, Pucovski has been firming to make his Test debut as David Warner battles to recover from a groin injury but those hopes suffered a considerable setback with his latest head injury, just nine days out from the first Test against India at Adelaide Oval.

Who is Karthik Tyagi ? How fast he can bowl ?

Tyagi played for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2020 and impressed everyone with his pace and control. The UP was picked up for Rs 1.30 crore by Rajasthan Royals at the auctions. The fast-bowler regularly clocks 140-145 kmph. He was a part of the India U-19 team for the World Cup in South Africa. The 19-year-old returned with 11 wickets including a game-changing 4/24 against Australia in the quarterfinal.

Tyagi was named as one of four additional bowlers to travel with the Indian cricket team for their tour to Australia.
