Valorant Mobile release date is still unknown but Riot is surprising us with their pace on Valorant mobile, there have been a few leaks and hits that the valorant mobile development is well underway. The game is currently only available on PC, and players think porting the game to mobile might ruin it. Players are generally negative when it comes to cross-play due to the hardware differences which might give an advantage to some. But who’s to say the game might not go cross-platform at all. Riot have already dominated the FPS on PC, they could be now looking at mobile. We believe Valorant is coming to u soon! Here’s why.
Here’s everything that points towards Valorant on Phone
About a month ago Valorant’s Game Director, Joe Ziegler, has stated that they just don’t want to port valorant to other platforms for the sake of it being ported. But if we take these concepts and bring them to other platforms do they even work or enjoyable?

“While we are exploring other platforms like console and mobile, right now the team is working hard to deliver a top-notch experience on PC,” Zeigler said.
Recently we have seen data in recent patch updates that points at Valorant mobile being developed. Pointed out by ValorantExpress, they claim Valorant’s mobile release is presently being worked on. The latest data mining found device profiles for both the iPhoneX and iPhoneXS in the 1.09 patch notes.

This does look more difficult to understand so lets break it down.
we see a couple of double-tap strings for actions on both left and on the right of the devices screen and filter prep touch, in this case, it does not seem like we are double tapping the mouse button.
We see some gyroscope functions which is essentially a function on your phone that detects movement or tilt. It is used by many PUBG Mobile players too. Which means that Valorant mobile might see some gyroscope capabilities where essentially you move your phone around and have certain experiences based on that movement you make.
The current Riot Games CEO, Nicolo Laurent, talked about 5G and what it means for gaming in a recent Tweet. 5G would mean they could “bring games on mobile we would never have considered before” like Valorant. Also, 5G being heavily advertised as something that’s going to help boost the mobile gaming scene with Wild Rift.
What’s exciting about 5G for our future games:
1) Low latency: for great action gameplay and competitive integrity.
2) Bandwidth: for streaming tons of assets on the fly without downloading a 100gb game first.
We’ll bring games on mobile we never would have considered before. https://t.co/KrjiXLzoWU— nicolo (@niiicolo) October 16, 2020
We have also seen this picture which was tweeted by Keegan Davis quite a while back. It shows on screen mobile functionalities.
To which Riot Boo who is a principal software engineer at Rioy games currently working on balance engine simply responded thanks for the report we’ll take a look and ask if they have a touchscreen on their laptop.
Could this mean a mobile port of Valorant could be coming soon? It’s certainly possible. iOS devices all use roughly the same code. It’s much easier to develop for iOS, so many developers work on iOS first and Android later
We know that Valorant’s console port is being worked on, but there’s still no actual word. There’s also word of mobile port files conflicting with PC files on laptops with touchscreen capabilities. This causes a mobile UI to appear on the laptop monitor. Riot Boo, a software engineer, replied in a way that makes us think it’s a known bug on their end.
All this leads us to believe that the Valorant mobile port is on the way. Would it work well? We think there’s certainly a possibility in it. Valorant’s a fun game and the newest FPS on the block. With the only competition being PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile, leaves Riot room to come in and do their magic. Riot already looks like it will take over the Mobile MOBA with its Wild Rift, can they do the same with Mobile FPS what they did with Valorant PC. We sure hope so, if one thing is for sure, it is that Valorant’s popularity in India has enough ground to make the mobile version of it fill the void created by PUBG.
