Nitish Kumar Reddy is all set to join the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) camp on Sunday after getting a clearance from the National Cricket Academy (NCA). The all-rounder was recovering at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) after picking up a side strain during the India vs. England T20I series earlier in January. With just a week left for IPL 2025, SRH has now received a massive boost.
Nitish Reddy cleared to join SRH camp
Nitish Reddy cleared the yo-yo test at the CoE in Bengaluru with a score of 18.1. He will now join the SRH camp on Sunday, the report stated. Earlier, the BCCI issued a statement that said that Reddy had sustained a side strain injury on January 24 that ruled him out of the remainder of the series. He was then sent to the CoE for further assessment of his injury.
“Yes, Nitish Kumar Reddy is now fit again, having recovered from a side strain. He cleared the yo-yo test at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru today morning with a score of 18.1,” a BCCI source told the Times of India.
