After securing victories in the first two ODIs against England, they are all set to chase a clean sweep in the final showdown at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium on Wednesday, February 12.

But many noticed that when Rohit Sharma and Jos Buttler came out for the toss in the third ODI, which is happening in Ahmedabad, both captains were seen wearing green armbands. But what is the reason?

The reason why Rohit Sharma and even England captain Jos Buttler were seen wearing green armbands was to encourage cricket fans to support the BCCI’s ‘Donate Organs, Save Lives’ campaign.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah also announced the campaign on X, highlighting the power of sport in bringing people together and creating a meaningful impact. He wrote, “Sport has the power to inspire, unite, and create lasting impact beyond the field… One pledge, one decision, can save multiple lives.”
