Batters with fastest 4000 runs women’s ODIs: Ft. Smriti Mandhana

Smriti Mandhana has been a dependable batter for the Indian Women's Cricket Team. Her consistency in the 50-over format has been remarkable.

Team India’s current skipper, Smriti Mandhana, breached the 4000-run mark in women’s ODI cricket. She is the second Indian batter, apart from veteran Mithali Raj, to complete the feat. In her outing against Ireland on Friday, Mandhana scored 41 runs off 29 balls before getting out.

Mandhana reached this milestone in her 95th ODI appearance. She is now the 15th woman globally to cross the 4000-run mark in women’s ODIs. Smriti Mandhana has an impressive record with 29 half-centuries and nine centuries in the format.

Mandhana among fastest to reach 4000 run

  1. Belinda Clack (Australia) – 86 innings in 2003
  2. Meg Lanning (Australia) – 89 innings in 2022
  3. Smriti Mandhana (India) – 95 innings in 2025
  4. Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa) – 96 innings in 2024
  5. Karen Rolton (Australia) – 103 innings in 2007

Mandhana’s achievement is even more remarkable considering she reached the milestone in fewer innings (95) than any other Indian woman, making her the fastest Indian to do so. Only Australia’s Belinda Clarke has reached 4000 runs faster, in 86 innings.

Mandhana’s consistency and performance have been instrumental in India’s success in women’s cricket. She has also been a key player for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) and has consistently ranked among the top batters in international cricket.

Her journey to 4000 runs is a testament to her dedication, skill, and passion for the game. Mandhana continues to inspire young cricketers and is a role model for aspiring female athletes in India and around the world.
