Former CSK captain MS Dhoni admitted that he was not as fit as what he used to be during his prime days. The ex-Indian skipper is one of the oldest players to continue participating in the IPL and will be next seen in action in IPL 2025. Dhoni spilled the beans on how he keeps himself in shape apart from hitting the gym and it involves a variety of other sports.
How MS Dhoni keeps himself fit?
Speaking on Eurogrip Tread Talks, MS Dhoni revealed that he attempts to try his hand at other sports apart from gym sessions to keep himself fit. The CSK star is known for his love for football and other sports and has often been seen engaged in various physical activities.
“I will definetly say that I’m not as fit as I used to be. A lot of effort now needs to be there on what I’m eating. I’m doing specific things to be fit for cricket. We are not fast bowlers, so are requirements are not that intense. What really helps me apart eating the right things and going to the gym is playing a lot of other sports. In between when I get time, I play different sports. It may be tennis, badminton, football, paddle. That keeps me engaged and is the best way of keeping in touch with fitness,” MS Dhoni said.

As for MS Dhoni, his transition from a captain to a player already began in 2024 when he handed over the reins to Ruturaj Gaikwad. While there were multiple speculations about Thala’s future in the IPL, the former CSK captain put those rumours to rest by confirming at the last-minute that he would continue to play for CSK, well at least for one more season.
