Prime Minister Narendra Modi receives signed chess board from world champion D Gukesh

The chess board was used during the World Chess Championship final and was signed by both D Gukesh and Ding Liren.

World Chess Champion, D Gukesh met the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 28 (Saturday). D Gukesh also handed the winning chess board to PM Narendra Modi, used during the World Chess Championship final between Gukesh and Ding Liren. The chessboard, autographed by Gukesh and his opponent Ding Liren, is a cherished memento for PM Modi, who praised Gukesh’s dedication, confidence, and calm demeanor.

D Gukesh became youngest Chess champion

The 18-year-old Gukesh defeated China’s Ding Liren 7.5-6.5 in Singapore this month to become the youngest-ever world champion, overhauling Russia’s Garry Kasparov’s long-standing mark.
