Ben Stokes sidelined for three months due to torn hamstring as woes compound for England

England Test skipper Ben Stokes has been ruled out of action for 3 months due to a torn hamstring and will go under the knife in January 2025

England cricket team have been dealt with a blow as Test skipper Ben Stokes has been ruled out of action for three months. The injury-prone all-rounder suffered a torn hamstring on his left leg during the recently concluded series against New Zealand. Reacting to his latest injury, Stokes vowed to make a comeback, noting that he still had “so much more left in his tank”. The all-rounder will now undergo a surgery in January 2025.

Ben Stokes ruled out for 3 months

The injury to Stokes means that he won’t be making his comeback in the ODIs as he intended to. The England star will miss the white-ball series against India and ICC Champions Trophy 2025. In November 2023, Stokes underwent a knee surgery and returned to action in the five-match Test series against India in January 2024, However, he injured himself once again during the Hundred tournament and went on to miss four Tests. The torn hamstring is the latest setback to the England all-rounder.
