MS Dhoni could be evicted out of his house. The former Indian captain resides in his hometown of Ranchi, Jharkhand, and could be moved out of his property in the Harmu Housing Colony. For the unaware, Dhoni had been gifted land spanning 6806 square feet by the Jharkhand government, and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star resided there for some time.

However, to escape the public eye, Dhoni eventually chose to move away to the outskirts. He built his own farmhouse in 2017, which is situated in Simaliya. According to Odisha TV, the Jharkhand State Housing Board has launched an investigation against Dhoni for using his property in the Harmu Housing Colony for commercial purposes while he spends his time in his 7-acre farmhouse.
Dhoni is just one of three hundred people who have been issued notices for using their properties situated in residential areas for commercial purposes. “We have received complaints and instructed officials to investigate. If the allegations are proven, a notice will be issued to Dhoni,” said Chairman of Jharkhand State Housing Board Sanjay Lal Paswan.
This is the second time Dhoni has received a notice from the Jharkhand State Housing Board. Back in 2015, he was questioned about illegally allotting a plot adjacent to his original property in the Harmu Housing Colony.
